Therapeutic Support Staff Position

 

Become a team member at our comprehensive quality program. Provide individual instruction for young children (ages 2-14) who have special needs such as Autism, Pervasive Developmental Disorder, or other behavioral disorders. Support is offered to the children in their home, school, and/or community. Training is provided and all treatment is organized and supervised by a master’s level staff.  Our agency provides the following:

 

·  Training in a center based partial hospital program prior to working alone with the children.

·  Weekly supervision with periodic supervision by Board Certified Behavior Analysts.

·  Opportunities to work as part of a team, following an individualized treatment plan for each child.

·  Part time/possible full time. Variable day, evening, and possible weekend hours available. 

·  Full time benefits begin following a 3 month probation period, including health insurance, sick time, and vacation.

·  Opportunities for advancement within PLEA.

·  Starting salary $11.00 per hour.

 

Position Requirements:

 

1. One of the following: 1.) a Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Services field with no previous work experience; 2.) a Bachelor’s Degree in another field with one year of full-time paid work experience in a job involving direct contact with children, or 3.) an Associate’s Degree with the equivalent of at least three years of full-time paid work experience in a job involving direct contact with children.Strong work ethic.Desire to help children make progress through positive interventions.FBI fingerprint, PA Child Abuse, and PA Criminal History clearances.Full time and part time positions require travel throughout Allegheny County. Reliable auto required.
