Medical Billing Specialist
Northwest Medical Specialties, PLLC (NWMS) is a successful and growing 20 provider regional oncology and infectious diseases group in the south Puget Sound area of the Pacific Northwest. Our centralized business office is located in Tacoma, Washington. In addition to physician services, the practice has in-house lab, imaging, infusion services, and a nationally known research program. Implementation of an EMR is underway.
We are seeking an experienced Medical Billing Specialist to work in our Centralized Billing Operations for Hem/Onc and Infectious Disease providers. This position is a temporary possibly temp to hire opportunity. We are looking for 2-3 people to fill our immediate need.
Requires a high school diploma, Associate or Bachelor Degree preferred
Certified Coding certification a plus
Minimum 2 years medical billing operations, general knowledge of CPT and ICD-9 codes charge entry, claims follow-up, medical billing software applications and strong customer service experience.
Prior experience using practice management system Misys Tiger is highly desirable. We offer a flexible work schedule great work environment.
