Technical Support Engineer

Our client, is a rapidly growing, leading provider of enterprise-level image and information management solutions for the clinical analysis and management of digital medical images has an immediate opening  for a Technical Support Engineer. This person shall be responsible for level three support job functions and responsibilities in compliance with the company’s quality procedures.  This is an onsite position with two locations, Indianapolis, IN or Stamford, CT. 

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

 

· Provide internal technical support to moderate and complex cases.

· Driving timely execution to customer support issues.

· Train internal and external customers regarding the use of the company’s products.

· Mentor and provide training to other Customer Support Engineers.

· Update the customer database with all activity on a timely basis and in conformance with company quality procedures.

· Compliance with respect to all applicable requirements of the company’s quality management system.

· Build and sustain product support knowledge base.

· All other functions and or responsibilities that may be assigned by management.

 

Job Requirements:

· Bachelor degree in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience.

· 3 to 5 years experience in support role or IT administration in healthcare environment.

· Exceptional communication and organizational skills as well as knowledge of Windows server environment, server clustering, server hardware with virtualized environments, SQL server database, MS Access, TCP/IP and FTP protocols. 

· Working knowledge of store and forward technology, digital information storage equipment, DICOM and HL7 communication standards.

· Remote monitoring knowledge.

· Ability to succeed in a matrixed work environment.

· Critical attention to detail and follow through.

· Ability to exercise independent judgment and make sound technical and business decisions.

·  Excellent analytical troubleshooting and configuration skills.

·  Demonstrated ability handling internal IT concerns.
