Rxe-Source Pharmacy Technician assists pharmacists in profiling medication orders in the data processing systems of client facilities.Gathering data and compiling reports for client facilities and internal use.Perform duties under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.Pharmacy Technicians do not perform duties that legally must be performed only be a pharmacist.Profiling medication order information into the client facility data processing system via emulation capability.Initiate communication with healthcare providers to obtain patient demographic data, specifically allergies, height, weight and age.Compiling data reports for the facilities or internal PSC use. Reports to the Director, Assistant Director or Pharmacist on duty. High school diploma or equivalent, college courses desirable but not required. Current pharmacy technician certification required. 3 years minimum hospital pharmacy experience preferred, but not required. Ability to communicate efficiently, effectively and courteously with the Service Center personnel, clients, and other callers. Repetitive use of hands and fingers, stooping or kneeling, sitting for long periods of time. Must be able to physically operate the equipment use in the Service Center.
