Tax Senior

PURPOSE:          To provide support to the Director of Tax in all areas of income tax, sales tax and property tax, including: tax compliance and tax accounting. To assist the tax function in delivering measurable value to internal customers.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist Director in providing all necessary information accurately and timely. Assist with preparation of the income tax provision in accordance with FAS 109, including support and maintenance of FIN 48 related issues. Prepare quarterly estimated tax payments Assist in preparation of federal and state income tax returns, property tax returns, sales and use tax returns, annual reports and other information returns. Review fixed asset system entries to ensure accurate tax reporting. Assist in federal and state tax audits and appeals. Maintain the tax compliance calendar and ensure all governmental filings are prepared and filed accurately and timely. Assist with sales tax determination of products and maintenance of sales tax matrix. Keep current on industry trends, including developing functional expertise in FAS 109 and other areas impacting related functional areas.

 

REQUIREMENTS: Undergraduate degree, tax or accounting Minimum 2-3 years of income tax experience. Public accounting experience preferred but not required. Working knowledge of FAS 109

 

PREFERRED: Certified Public Accountant Masters degree in tax or accounting Working knowledge of both Insource RS Compliance Systems and TaxStream Provision System Proficiency with CCH Online Research
