Job Description Imagine Yourself...
Providing consultation and support to site leadership at assigned affiliates involving management systems, procedures, and statistical analysis. Contributing to the planning, coordination and implementation of operational process improvements. Provides education and support in the development, training, and implementation of new management systems with the overall goal of increasing operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Supporting cross-functional teams within identified departments consisting of staff and leadership, in process improvement projects using appropriate quality measures/tools such as Lean, Six Sigma, project management and other proven problem solving tools and techniques. Developing recommendations and action plans.
Providing data gathering and analysis in support of quality and process improvement initiatives. Reviewing management reports and provides supporting data as requested.
Providing consultation and support to site leadership on significant variances and/or process improvements. Reviewing all system changes in department support processes and recommends adjustments. Planning, coordinating and communicating objectives, measurements and outcomes to all stakeholders throughout the duration of projects.
Ensuring that the management system reflects current operating realities through periodic audits. Modifying and enhancing the management system when necessary. This may include identifying new or revised activities, making adjustments to forms or procedures and making appropriate recommendations regarding changes in staffing levels.
Implementing the management system in new or significantly restructured areas and trains new managers on the use of the system when required. Educating and mentoring staff relative to tools for process improvement.
General Qualifications
Knowledge of Mathematics, Industrial Engineering or Industrial Psychology or related field, equivalent to that which would be acquired by completing a regionally accredited bachelor's degree program
Knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform this job are typically acquired through a minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in systems improvement in an environment that includes leading systems improvement projects using Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies, use of microcomputers and related software, work sampling, methods analysis, basic statistics, and flow-charting.
Expert oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate complex topics clearly with all levels of personnel.
Excellent quantitative analysis, project management and problem solving skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities independently.
