PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: Serve as the single point of contact to the Finance, logistics and procurement business units for all Oracle applications && B2B applications. Provide regular written and verbal status weekly reports to end users and IT management On a regular basis, meet with and lead the different finance support teams (External Vendors and contractors) toward the appropriate level of service on Oracle Applications as per the IT Service Catalogue and Service Level Agreements. Provide design and implementation support with regards to the ERP projects including business requirements and design review sessions with finance team users. Document and co-ordinate the Release Management process with regard to Oracle-based applications. Conduct meetings with project teams to review Release Management documentation. Contribute routinely to the process of resolving complex problems uncovered during the testing process and then communicating the results with the project team constituents. MAIN INTERFACES:INTERNALLY: Local && Corporate IT communityBusiness corporate and local key usersEXTERNALLY:Oracle development and support specialistsOracle Applications users and IT peers from other companies (External consulting companies, vendors, Merck Serono and Merck TASKS DESCRIPTION: Deliver maintenance and technical, functional support services to the Oracle Applications users community.Target zero-defect applications while maintaining efficient incident resolution time.Implement the segregation of production and development environments. Provide technical services and functional advice on the implementation of e-business applications in co-ordination with the Oracle Software group.Define and maintain the Performance Management process relating to Oracle Applications. Maintain and secure the IT Change Management processes in line with the segregation of duty. Pro-actively co-ordinate cross unit expertise to efficiently resolve incidents. Analyse root cause of repetitive incidents and propose an action plan for improvement to the management.
SKILLS Required: Excellent customer service and communications skills including the ability to run meetings and deliver effective business requirements and design review presentationsIn depth SDLC (systems development life cycle) skills specifically in the areas of writing test plans and conducting/orchestrating systems tests with the end users.Oracle Applications 11i expert including 4-6 years of in depth Finnacial ERP work experienceExcellent written and verbal communications skills4 &- 6 years of Good understanding and functional knowledge on the modules such as OM,INV,AP,AR,GL,Iproc and PO (Functional setup, business process mapping, make use of oracle standard functions.Work experience in using Oracle API&'s, standard Interfaces PL/SQL, Developer 6i programming experienceEDI experience is perferable
