Surgical Tech/CVOR Experience  for Top Hospital St. Petersburg, FL

Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, and in area of specialty, displays superior competency in scrub and/or first assist role for surgical procedures, assists with the review of instrumentation, equipment, and supplies, collaborates with specialty coordinator to direct activities within the surgical specialty, demonstrates advanced clinical expertise and knowledge, and serves as a resource for Main Operating Room (MOR) team members. Exhibits superior competency in all specialty areas in the MOR. Expected to take call for the MOR in rotation.High School Graduate or equivalent is required. Must have certification by the Liaison Council or Certification for the Surgical Technologist or 10+ years experience in acute care setting BVLD. Prefer Certified First-Assist. Must have 3 yrs OR experience, Preceptor experience/skills and Resource Skills. Must have advanced knowledge of instrumentation and equipment. Must have Ability to scrub and/or first-assist on surgical procedures. Must have ability to collaborate with Specialty Coordinator to direct activities within surgical specialty. Must have ability to practice cost effective measures with equipment and supplies. Must have excellent Customer Service Skills.
