Supervisor of Field Sales
Primary Function:
This position is responsible for overseeing sales agents on his/her team. It is responsible for interviewing and recruiting quality agents, who can produce a sufficient amount of Medicare sales, give complete attention to new agents for the first two weeks, work with new agents in the first 60 days to ensure the agent can function independently, and to complete field evaluations as required.
Responsibilities:
· The Supervisor of Field Sales will interview and recruit quality agents who can produce a sufficient amount of Medicare Advantage sales. NOTE: The final approval in determining the recruitment of employed agents will be the Vice President of Medicare Sales.
· The Supervisor may be required to assist in the initial certification training of their producers as well as future training.
· The Supervisor must, minimally, work with their producers in their first 60 days with complete attention given in their first (two) 2 weeks.
· The Supervisor must review all of their producers’ applications prior to submission to determine completeness and legibility.
· The Supervisor must accompany the new Medicare Advantage producer during their first (two) 2 weeks in the field and do a documented field evaluation on their producer’s first two presentations. If the evaluation does not comply with all requirements established for a proper sales presentation, then the Supervisor must continue accompanying the agent until the sales presentation is proper.
· The Supervisor must provide proper support and supervision at all times and monitor results on a regular and continual basis.
· Supervisors will work together and assist each other with their producers whenever necessary (i.e. the Supervisor is working with multiple new producers at the same time) to ensure compliance of CMS guidelines.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
· Responsible for the supervision of Employed Agents (EA’s)

Experience:
· Be a licensed health agent in Illinois, in good standing, and supply HealthSpring, Inc. with a copy of your license.
· Ability to be appointed with HealthSpring, Inc.
· Experience in sales management preferred.
· Extensive understanding of Medicare and how it relates to Medicare beneficiaries.
