The incumbent is competent to precept staff to the Infection Control requirements in decontamination, processing, sterilization, process monitoring and storage and distribution of sterile/clean surgical supplies. The Certified Sterile Central Technician is cognizant of current manufacturer's recommendations for handling/instrumentation safely. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High School graduate or equivalent. Minimum of 1-3 years experience as a Certified Sterile Central Technician or graduate of an accredited OR Surgical Technician Program.
