Practice or research specialty/focus of the position: Pharmacy

Position Description: Evaluates drugs prescribed by physicians for appropriateness of dose, therapeutic efficacy, allergy, drug interaction, and contraindications. Maintains accurate and complete documentation of all medicine-use-related activities to ensure appropriate distribution of medications. Provides prescribed medications, drugs, and other pharmaceuticals and compound medications in accordance with professional standards and practices. Performs the clinical and educational functions of the Pharmacy Department.

Required or desired credentials or experience of applicants:  B.S. or Pharm.D. from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy and a current Maryland pharmacist license. Completion of a 1-year pharmacy practice residency, and/or fellowship, or at least 1 years of pharmacy experience is strongly preferred. New Grads please apply.  Experience using computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and pharmacy information systems required.
