Sr. Project Manager

The Project Manager will be responsible for managing the ePayment project which includes converting approximately 200 current Payer clients from paper to 835.  He/she will create and document processes and procedures for the ePayment implementation.  This involves working with a team of 7 – 10 people who are responsible for data-mapping and converting provider submission codes to standard ANSI codes.

 

This is a contract position in the St. Louis office of Emdeon Business Services.  Estimated timeline is 12-18 months. 

 SECTION I:    RESPONSIBILITIES

 Â· Develop and execute project plans according to the methodology while communicating project status on a regular basisDevelop business requirementsManage project scope, schedule and resources to meet business objectivesAuthor processes and procedures Maintaining open communication with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure project deadlines and goals are metAssess and recommend change requests to managementManage team of approximately 10 who are dedicated to the project Facilitate all necessary information sessions including discovery, recovery, requirements, use cases and pulse meetingsInteracting and communicating effectively with a variety of personalities and levels within and external to the companyInvestigate and manage issues and risks to the project SECTION II:   KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

 Bachelor’s Degree with formal education in project management or equivalent. 10 years experience in project management with a minimum of 5 years experience with IT projects.  Experience managing large IT software development programs or large projects.  PMP certification preferredExperience with medical billing, ANSI 835 codes or code set mapping a plus. Candidates must have the ability to move from strategy to tactical implementation while effectively communicating with various levels of management.  Proven analytical, conceptual and organizational skillsEffective communicator with superior speaking, writing and listening skillsStrong work ethic Able to succeed in a highly demanding and dynamic environment of healthcareExperience managing fast paced projects Experience mentoring teams in defining requirements, Project Management, and Software Processes. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Visio and PowerPoint required
