Sr. Financial Systems Analyst / 729 Position Description:The Senior Financial Systems Analyst partners with the Director of Financial Systems, the Controller, Assistant Controller, and other senior and department Financial managers, process owners, and system users to develop, administer, and support the accounting information system application environment and to ensure that it achieves business objectives and meets user and regulatory requirements. Analyzes financial information related to revenue and profit projections, accounting monthly close processes, and other financial procedures; develops and supports the production of various financial reports and dashboards, and performs other special business intelligence projects; provides general training and technical support to end-users; acts as liaison between the finance, accounting, and information technology departments.?Perform all system administration tasks related to the APS accounting ledger system (Great Plains) and other financial systems, including creating and maintaining users, managing and performing maintenance procedures, developing and executing SQL routines, and other related tasks. ? Provide end-user training and support related to the Great Plains system and other financial systems. ? Generate standard and ad-hoc reports to support accounting, financial, and internal auditing processes. ? Analyze the impact of implementing new financial systems as well as upgrading and/or making other changes to existing systems related to Great Plains and other financial systems. ? Prepare documentation for financial system projects, procedures, and processes related to Great Plains and other financial systems. ? Ensure that software applications and change control procedures comply with GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley guidelines. ? Supports the development, validation and analysis of financial information related to various accounting, budgeting, and forecasting functions including allocations, metrics, and other financial indicators. ? Provides general financial application support, maintenance, and training to finance personnel. Acts as liaison to the IT department. Education:? Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent.Requirements:? A minimum of five years experience developing and administering accounting and/or financial ERP information systems. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics-Great Plains and FRx preferred.? Hands-on experience and understanding of general and sub-ledger (accounts payable, accounts receivable, etc.) implementation and functionality.? Strong working knowledge of relational database theory and SQL? Strong working knowledge of the Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and project management techniques.? Advanced understanding of accounting and financial reporting principals (GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley, etc.)? Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.? Excellent communication skills.? Excellent time and priority management skills.
