SR. CONSULTANT (OR-RN)- ORTHOPEDIC & NEUROSPINE

Location: Norcross, GA (Atlanta area)

RELOCATION AVAILABLE

Provides clinical consulting services to hospitals and physicians within VHA's Clinical Specialty Services team.  Interprets clinical & financial data to develop and implement cost saving initiatives for clients. Presents client data results and recommendations onsite and/or online.

Responsibilities:

•  Project management of consulting engagements. 

•  Identifies cost saving opportunities within orthopedic joint, trauma and spine service lines and compiles reports for both physicians and hospital administration.

•  Provides clinical and operational expertise to hospital clients and internal Client Development Team members. 

•  Assists with training of new employees and provides clinical training for data analysts.

•  Provides clinical expertise to software development team in design and enhancement of software products needed by clients.

•  Presents opportunities for physicians-hospital alignment and cost reduction at national conferences.

•  Performs miscellaneous job related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

•  The incumbent should have at least 3-5 years of O.R. experience specifically with orthopedic joint and/or neurospine surgical procedures.

•  In-depth product knowledge for orthopedic total joint and neurospine surgical procedures.

•  Must have a Bachelors in Nursing or a Bachelors of Arts degree.

•  Must have management, budgetary and cost reduction experience in a healthcare organization.

•  Prefer candidate to have cost/waste reduction and reengineering concept knowledge.
