Department:Â Knowledge ManagementSalary:Â DOE.Hours:Â Full time, days.Location:Â Met Park WestThe Knowledge Management group in Seattle Children's is designing and building innovative software solutions to support key strategic initiatives in patient care, safety, finance and ground breaking research. We are actively looking for experienced developers to help implement next generation data integration and business intelligence solutions using an exciting new technology from Microsoft called Amalga; a unified intelligence system. You will work with internal customers to build, configure, test and deploy world class systems solutions that could ultimately help save lives and improve the quality of patient care. The ideal candidate is self-confident, hard working and highly organized with exceptional development skills. In this role you will use C# and VB scripting to transform data from disparate sources into Microsoft Amalga. Requires:1. At least 4 years of IT systems configuration and implementation experience including relational and multidimensional SQL database analysis and development. 2. Strong problem solving skills 3. Ability to evaluate end-user business needs and translate them into technical requirements, then develop and implement the appropriate technical solutions 4. Strong written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences 5. Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, high intensity start up environment 6. Scripting experience with C# and VB 7. Business Objects experience a plus 8. Healthcare Information Systems conversions and HL7 message-based experiences desired 9. Strong knowledge of SQL database structures and queries including SQL and MDX 10. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Business or related field.
