About the Position: Salem Hospital Regional Rehabilitation Center is currently seeking an experienced Adult & Pediatric focused Speech Language Pathologist to join our team of professionals! Our Salem Regional Rehabilitation Center provides comprehensive rehabilitation-medicine services for the individual by an interdisciplinary team. It is the only facility of its kind in the Mid-Willamette Valley. The Speech Language Pathologist evaluates, treats, provides rehabilitation, counsels, and educates patients with disorders of swallowing, speech, language and cognition to restore or improve communications for Adults and Pediatrics. Develops and implements individualized plan of therapy care utilizing therapeutic exercises/activities/ modalities relative to patient’s medical condition, rehabilitation potential and prognosis. Coordinates and effectively utilizes delivery of speech therapy care with other health care team members. Reviews patient chart and documents patient progress. Additionally we are seeking an Occupational Therapist who demonstrates: Adaptability with high tolerance for ambiguous work situations. Must be a team player and have proven success applying a team approach to obtain resolution to an issue or successfully accomplish a goal. A compassionate and caring personality motivated by an opportunity to provide meaningful assistance to patients. A positive “can-do” attitude that finds solutions to “unsolvable” problems. An ability to identify feelings and perspective of others.Minimum Qualifications: A Master’s Degree in Communication Disorders is required. Must hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology awarded by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Experience with children and adults with various types of communication and swallowing disorders, using a variety of modalities. Licensed to practice Speech-Language Pathology in the state of Oregon, or able to obtain a license in the State of Oregon as a Speech Language Pathologist prior to date of hire. Working Conditions: Working in an office setting, providing therapy for pediatric and adult patients Ability to safely pull and turn a minimum of 50 pounds unassisted: bend, stretch, and reach to accomplish duties.
