Solution Delivery Manager (SAS) - Golden Valley, MN

Through our family of companies, we contribute outstanding clinical insight with consumer-friendly services and advanced technology to help people achieve optimal health.OptumHealth Care Solutions offers tailored programs that can enhance clinical outcomes and reduce costs for customers.  The Care Solutions organization offers best-in-class programs and care management services to help consumers receive the right care at the right time in the right place.   Position Description:   Within the Solution Delivery Management team our Solution Delivery Managers work with key technology and business partners to define and execute end to end technology solutions.They are accountable for driving high level solutions from detailed business requirements through full production deployment.  Best fit candidates will possess a strong aptitude for traditional project management and familiarity with core technologies used.This position will be primarily focused on delivery SAS based solutions.   Primary Responsibilities: Managing large scale, complex projects of moderate to high risk, and helping to develop, prioritize and guide future initiatives Establishing effective stakeholder relationships, by defining appropriate expectations, leading communications, participating in negotiations, identifying and escalating issues/risks and providing feedback Developing project schedules and documentation, defining and assigning responsibilities, evaluating and monitoring work in progress, and providing active assistance to meet schedules and resolve complex technical or business requirements Establishing and evaluating metrics to assess and forecast performance, defining controls and regularly auditing project status to ensure progress, customer satisfaction and attainment of company commitments, goals and objectives Work with key resource managers to rapidly support, refocus, leverage and/or align staff to ensure project timelines are met Assisting in the discovery, collection, organization and production of deliverable documentation delivery. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree is required 5+ years of experience in program or project management is also required Assets include: 5+ years of experience working in corporate finance related job functions 5+ years in process management and process improvement Experience in managing complex programs involving the application of professional concepts, methods and practices that cross multiple professional disciplines Advanced proficiency in the application of broad knowledge and experience in providing direction/leadership to others as a project lead and/or a technical specialist Demonstrated skills in leadership, communication, analysis, problem solving and short/long term planning Familiarity with SAS Business Intelligence or other business intelligence toolsDiversity creates a healthier atmosphere:  equal opportunity employer M/F/D/V.   UnitedHealth Group is a drug-free workplace.  Candidates are required to pass a drug test before beginning employment.
