The fun-loving attitudes combined with the resolved work ethic make our client unique from the rest with the service they provide.Working as a team with patients and physicians, the therapists bring together the most innovative methods, advanced research, and proven skills for the treatment of injuries. Essential Job Functions: Â§ Provide outpatient/patient care 80% of the time.§ Utilization and further development of post-operative patient protocols.§ Close communication with assigned surgeon for patient care.§ Participation in mentor program for all staff therapists.§ Supervision of staff development that includes; providing staff with clear expectations of job duties, conducting reviews of staff therapists twice a year; and performance management of direct reports.§ Supervision of patient care by staff therapists.  Addresses staff/patient concerns in a fair and objective manner.§ Provide a monthly Management Plan to direct supervisor.§ Promote hospital and physician relationships through program development, marketing, and support of existing client programs/departments.  § Foster positive professional relationships for the mutual support of client companies, and local physicians.§ Ensure therapist schedules meet physician and patient needs. Additional Responsibilities: Â§ Promotes and has knowledge of and utilizes appropriate patient care protocol relating to the physical, psychosocial, and developmental needs for neonatal, pediatric, adult and geriatric patient.§ Establishes physical therapy interventions based upon the evaluation and examination, physician orders, and patients goals for therapy.§ Provides for continuity of patient care through written and verbal communication with other health care professionals.§ Makes recommendations for needed patient care equipment prior to patient discharge and assists with acquisition of same as appropriate.§ Documents findings, patient progress, and all procedures performed within established time frames.§ Demonstrates effective time management.§ Complies with quality improvement standards.§ Participates in organizational committees as assigned.§ Participates in assigned aspects of affiliated PT/PTA student training. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Â§ Communicates Effectively – Keeps others well informed; is a safety role model; holds everybody to a high safety standard.§ Healing Environment – Provide patient care which is age specific/appropriate for patients served; enable positive interactions with patients/families and other health care professionals;
