Shipping Technician

Shipping Technician Package medications carefully and thoroughly in preparation of being mailed out to patients while maintaining high quality standards. Package special handling items accordingly. Verify/check address on prescription to ensure it matches the shipping label before sending the package. May accept orders at receiving door for pharmacy. Identify system problems and escalated to management as needed. Package, seal and label orders according to pharmacy procedures.  Periodically process special shipping requests from customer service and pharmacy. Enclose proper mailers with each order including patient advisory leaflet, invoice, information sheet and customized mailer for the next order. Verify/check address on prescription to ensure it matches the shipping label before sending packages to patients. Package prescriptions requiring special handling according to specific requirements. Work collaboratively with other team members and supervisor to ensure that best-practices are shared while maintaining productivity and quality standards. Accept orders at receiving door for pharmacy as needed. Identify system problems and escalated to management as needed. Schedule is Monday-Friday 12:30pm-9:00pm with one Saturday per month.
