Summary:
Responsible for driving company service vehicles throughout assigned geographical service areas to perform the following at customer residences and designated TSS locations: battery assessments and battery replacements, retrieval/return or drop-off/pick-up of customer-owned equipment and TSS loaner/rental assets, as well as performing light technical service/repairs.
Scope:
This position involves a high to very high degree of job structure. Under moderate to close supervision, the employee will complete tasks that are repetitive and straightforward that require some review of work. The employee is expected to follow complicated instructions with limited discretion.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide “world class” customer service to customers in their homes, or at assigned locations.
• Load test and replace batteries and charging systems using manufacturer and TSS battery care guidelines, replacement criteria and procedures.
• Council customers on proper battery care and basic operation and maintenance of their power mobility equipment.
• Support retrieval/return, drop-off/pick-up of customer-owned equipment and TSS assets.
• Perform light maintenance and repair of powered mobility equipment as required (such as tightening, reseating connections, comfort adjustments, accessories, etc.)
• Assist store personnel in inventory related tasks as assigned
• Assist and support the store and Distribution Center Manager in any function required
• Contact customers or their care-givers to set or reschedule appointments
• Establish efficient service routes
• Prepare customer paperwork; including all service program related documents (such as service loaner program, drop-off program, etc)
• General clerical duties
• Adhere to all local, state and federal requirements such as ACHC, HIPPA, OSHA, etc.
• Generate referrals for TSS Sales and Service opportunities
• Willing to travel (with overnight stays) as required
• Maintain knowledge and training on products, service related advisories, trouble-shooting guides, and manuals.
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and three to five years’ job related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Read and comprehend simple correspondence; read and interpret less straightforward material such as road maps, detailed routing instructions, service agreements, service checklists, receipts, and reports.
• Write simple correspondence as well as more complex material such as progress reports, detailed forms, procedures and non-standard letters and memos
• Calculate percentages, fractions or basic statistics, basic algebra or geometry
• Use software to enter, edit and retrieve data
• Exhibit basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and technical attributes of power mobility equipment.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
• Valid Driver’s License with proof of clean driving record.
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• The most critical aspect of this position is the ability to communicate effectively with customers, technicians and management
• Computer skills required for service applications, route planning and mapping, crystal reports for battery assessment eligibility, etc.
• Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality
• Excellent customer service skills and background
• Understanding of the application of electro-mechanical theory in troubleshooting and diagnosis of equipment.
• Safe operation of service vehicles and equipment
