A programming background will be needed for this role, in addition to strong ASP/.NET and SQL server development capabilities. Knowledge of Visual Basic and Java Script, along with a selection of other tools, is highly preferred. Microsoft Office proficiency is a must.   Primary Responsibilities:   The senior Web Developer will work on the development of web pages and back-end SQL Server stored procedures while focusing on the following:Design and develop web sites and web applications. Help lead the design and development of Web Communications online products, including the corporate web site and the intranet. Develop and maintain prototypes for future Web Communications functionality and interface design. Develop innovative approaches. Serve as a leader/ mentor. Be a resource for others. Provide feedback and information to other designers, developers and producers. Participate in software and hardware evaluation for design and production tools. Conceptualize, design and develop the user interface for Web Communications solutions. Help design and conduct usability studies, documenting results and acting upon findings. Develop and maintain design and functionality specifications for use by software engineers and other developers and producers. Participate in task analysis and testing related to the design and functional considerations of Web Communications sites. Maintain historical records of assigned product and feature development. Participate in research, analysis, development and sound application of new concepts and emerging technologies for Web Communications. Participate in the development of Web site standards for technology, organization, navigational structure, content management, and interface design.
