Senior Web Applications Developer
Description
You are responsible for designing, developing, and supporting web-based applications with minimal guidance and direction. These applications include systems developed solely for the web environment as well as development efforts designed to "webify" end-user applications.
You will also play a key role in the creation of corporate or clinical web sites and intranet communities.
You will have expert level understanding of programming techniques and tools such as .Net, Ruby on Rails, Visual Basic, SQL, C++, Java, and other proprietary or open source programming, web development, and system management tools.
You may be called upon to function as a team lead and may have ongoing supervisory responsibilities.
This position reports to the Manager, Analytics and Systems Integration Development
Primary Responsibilities:
· Develop business intelligence web applications which leverage the Enterprise Data Warehouse being developed at a large Academic Medical Center
· Extend and enhance the Services Oriented Architecture for clinical and business information systems integration at NMFF.
Requirements
· Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
· Five to seven years experience in programming, with at least five years in web design/development.
· Demonstrated proficiency in relational database design is required.
· Prior exposure to the Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Business Intelligence suite (Integration Services, Reporting Services and Analysis Services) is preferred.
· Prior exposure to data warehousing concepts is preferred.
