Senior Systems Software Specialist II
Job Description: This position will have responsibility for overseeing the clinical aspects of the implementation of an enterprise patient monitoring and telemetry system. The scope will encompass the patient monitoring devices, clinical applications, system interfaces and nursing workflow. This will require daily interaction with the clinical staff (nurses, physicians, etc.) and ancillary departments. He/she will be the primary point of contact for the clinical system users and will report directly to the Information Technology Project Director. V331 Key Accountabilities*Interact with key stakeholders and users of the systems being implemented*Review and validate the specific unit requirements for each area with the appropriate clinical staff*Collaborate with the various subspecialties to insure the clinical requirements of the project are met*Oversee quality assurance procedures and functional testing of all devices*Coordinate the activities of the clinical staff required to implement the monitoring system in all clinical areas *Insure that the installation meets user requirements and obtain user sign-off*Monitor post-implementation system functionality performance and implement remedial actions and/or upgrades as indicated*Facilitate resolution of operational and workflow issues with the hospital clinical leadership and/or vendor application support staff*Document implementation issues and escalate as appropriateJob Qualifications: Experience/Requirements*Excellent analytical skills*Excellent verbal and writing skills *Troubleshooting/problem solving skills*Experience working in healthcare environment*Clinical information system implementation experience*Critical Care experience preferred Education*A Bachelor's degree in Nursing with a Master in Nursing Informatics or its equivalent is preferred
