Senior Staff Accountant

POSITION SUMMARY:

The ideal candidate filling this position will have a solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and the ability to do accounting research. The candidate must have extensive experience with accruals, depreciation, cash management, prepaid, and intercompany reconciliation. In addition, have an in-depth knowledge of reconciling balance sheet and profit and loss statements for multiple companies on a monthly basis.  The candidate is expected to exercise independent judgment and refer unusual problems or concerns to Management for guidance. The position is a non-supervisory position.  The Sr. Staff Accountant will assist management in Finance with various ad hoc assignments.



 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 



1. Review balance sheet accounts weekly and prepare schedules assigned on a monthly basis

2. Review P&L accounts assigned

3. Oversee cash reconciliation

4. Reconcile payroll system to the General Ledger  

5. Responsible for maintaining and reconciling intercompany accounts

6. Review fixed asset roll-forward

7. Assist with compiling financial reports

8. Assist with cost center allocation

9. Assist with the preliminary and annual audit

10. Other ad hoc assignments as needed

 Minimum qualificationS: 

  · Bachelor’s degree in Accounting 5+ years experience working in Accounting/Finance environment CPA candidate or CPA A solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles In-depth experience with FRx Working knowledge of Platinum
