Senior Operations Analyst - Plano, TX

The company is part of Ovations, a family of UnitedHealth Group businesses dedicated to improving the health and well-being of Americans ages 50 and older.   Primary Responsibilities:Provide the first line analysis for production jobs the team provides production setup Work with the application areas to migrate and implement new applications into production Schedule jobs through a scheduling tool Provide expert technical advice and guidance in effective utilization of application design Evaluate requests for special reports or data analysis and develop effective solutions Work with team to assist with analyzing and evaluating customer requests Develop solutions for these requests based on the analysis, including developing new programs if appropriate Migrate and schedule enhancements and updates from development into production Transition new applications into production Schedule database load support Schedule and coordinate maintenance and software updates Ensure operations can correctly start, stop, and monitor production jobs Problem analysis and resolution Analyze requests to determine the most effective means of reporting the data Design, code, debug, document and supporting efficient and effective computer applications and tools consistent with established specifications and business requirements Complete efficient coding on small to medium applications Create process scripts and queries using SQL Conduct unit testing for quality assurance Write process documentation Act as consultant providing technical advice and guidance in the effective utilization of the products Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external application teams Provide on call support on a rotational basis for production applications Guide, train, instruct and assist others at lower levels on a variety of technical issues Has the ability to work on multiple projects at once. Qualifications:1 year or more of data processing experience 1 year or more of experience in working with relational databases 1 year or more of experience in Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, Project and Access Bachelor's degree in computer science, math, statistics, business or relevant degree or 5+ years of work relevant work experience Some knowledge of programming languages (would prefer 6 months of experience).
