Senior Director, Product Management

The Senior Director of Product Management will report to and works closely with the Vice President of Product Management to define all PDR digital product offerings. Position will be tasked with developing, presenting and evangelizing innovative concepts as well as project management of the execution inclusive of testing, launch plans and maintenance/update cycles. This position is also responsible for oversight of the Web Operations team. Essential Duties/Responsibilities Define product vision, strategy and objectives based on an understanding of industry direction and customer needs Extend and expand revenue generating aspects of PDR with existing online properties, extending print offerings to electronic and via innovative new products. Works closely with the Web Operations and Development Managers to ensure successful delivery on new product releases. Responsible for defining and developing functional specifications, business cases, wire frames, and managing the end-to-end product process. Drive the creation of product business plans including ROI analysis, competitive research and technology assessment. Prioritize projects based upon needs and resources of the Product Management team. Complete business requirements and functional specifications taking into account goals of the organization, competitive outlook, industry direction, resource constraints and required timeline. Work with internal and offshore technology group with accurate product objectives and requirements. Drive 8 qtr. product roadmap - present finding/recommendations to PDR senior management team. Develop and manage software release schedule (8qtr plan), ensuring that products/features are released on time and within budget. Manage Web Operations team and prioritize responsibilities, including QA, site maintenance and content update cycles. Manage email marketing business inclusive of clients, operations team, metrics and sales support Develop and manage search engine optimization and search engine marketing strategy. 10 years Product Management or related experience working with an Internet and/or software company,.Pharma/Healthcare experience preferred. 3-5 years Management experience Experience in web technology (XML, HTML, Flash, DHTML, Active X, etc) as well as client side development. Knowledge of Mobile platforms and technologies, particularly mobile web and WAP content delivery. Experience in bringing new products and innovations to the market. Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred. Start up software experience highly encouraged. Strong technical background; well developed analytic skills; excellent project management skills. Must be a very capable communicator with excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. Proven ability to develop strong working relationships with internal and external clients including corporate executives, sales, marketing, operations, customers, and business partners. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills Self starter who can quickly contribute with little direction. Unconventional thinker with results-driven orientation. Extremely detail oriented.
