AmeriPath...Improving Diagnostics. Improving Lives.  Job Summary: Responsible for assisting in the financial and operational evaluation of prospective managed care agreements. Works closely with the Managed Care department in response to proposal requests for local, regional or national agreements. Works closely with the Director of Contracts & Administration in the development of reporting metrics and methods to streamline the contracting process. ___________________________________________________________________________________Job Accountabilities:* Directly support the negotiation process for prospective local, regional and national health care agreements including the compilation of fee schedules and revenue projections.* Assist in the analysis and validation of financial projections provided by the Managed Care department for local agreements and insures that profitability thresholds are met.* Review business terms for prospective agreements to insure contract requirements can be operationalized and are in line with the Company's objectives.* Support the development of standard financial models to be deployed to the field for use in the analysis of local managed care agreements.* Perform comparison analyses of actual agreement results versus financial projections developed during the approval process.* Assist in the analysis and compilation of utilization data for use in the evaluation of prospective agreements.* Monitor health plan sales performance and develop tracking tools to evaluate actual performance vs. annual targets.* Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support for the Managed Care department.______________________________________________________________________________________Job Requirements: Incumbent should possess the knowledge, skills and experience usually obtained by,* 4+ years of experience in financial analysis or accounting* BS/BA in Finance or Accounting* Strong financial analysis, problem solving, and organization skills* Ability to manage multiple priorities for multiple customers* Team oriented* Ability to interact with all levels of employees* MS Office Suite proficiency, with strong skills in Access and Excel* Knowledge of laboratory industry and managed care is desirable AmeriPath offers competitive salaries, excellent benefits, and outstanding career growth opportunities.  AmeriPath is an equal opportunity employer.
