The result is better care and a reduction in overall health care costs.    Position Description:  Positions in this function are responsible for the production of client contracts, ancillary agreements,  and/or related employee plan documents, vendor, broker and intercompany agreements. May draft policies, certificates of coverage (COC), riders, amendments and agreements within established standards. Advise and consult with internal and external customers, brokers and account management teams on issues relating to the content and administration of contract documents and/or regulatory or legislative matters. Keep abreast of state and federal regulations as they relate to insurance licenses and other documents. May be responsible for writing or reviewing SPD's for new or renewed business.   Primary Responsibilities: Generally work is self-directed. Works with less structured, more complex issues. Serves as a resource to others. Assesses and interprets customer needs and requirements. Identifies solutions to non-standard requests and problems. Solves moderately complex problems and/or conducts moderately complex analyses. Works with minimal guidance; seeks guidance on only more complex tasks. Translates concepts into practice. Provides explanations and information to others on difficult issues. Coaches, provides feedback, and guides others. Acts as a resource for others with less experience.Qualifications: Requirements: 2 years of legal contract negotiations or healthcare contracting or compliance experience 2 years of experience writing and editing legal documents 2 years of experience working on the phone with partners to resolve contract issues Experience closing contracting deals Strong strategic and business acumen and well grounded in health care delivery systems. Demonstrates capability to get results in a complex, often ambiguous environment. Builds and leverages a network of experts to supplement one's own expertise. Establishes trust and credibility at all levels of the organization. Capable of managing a variety of complex issues while driving momentum of key projects. Actively listens to understand the perspective of others - seeks first to understand. Handles difficult situations diplomatically. Confronts issues directly and speaks candidly. Effective interpersonal influence, collaboration and listening skills. Promotes recognition of others. Holds herself / himself mutually accountable with their team. Models and supports effective team interactions. Realizes the performance potential of teams. Encourages diverse opinions and expression of constructive disagreement. Seeks opportunities for team play. BS / BA degree is required in business, health care administration or related field, MBA or JD/Paralegal preferred. PC literacy with proficiency in use of computer spreadsheets and data bases.
