SENIOR COMMUNITY HEALTH NURSE

The Alachua County Health Department is seeking a Senior Community Health Nurse, PSN # 64086304. This is a 0.85 FTE position for a school nurse to provide direct assessments, screenings, referrals, provide relief to other school health clinics managed by the Health Department and follow-up to students during the 180 day (10 month) school year. May require to transfer/ assistance of a student in a wheelchair to attend to personal needs etc. Use of proper body mechanics are required and expected. Ability to respond immediately to emergency situations on campus. Must be licensed as a registered professional nurse in accordance with Florida Statute 464. Must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college with a major in nursing or a related field and 2 years of nursing experience or professional nursing experience that may be substituted on a year for year basis for the required college education. Must be fingerprinted and drug screened. May be required to work extra hours
