Senior Biomedical Imaging Technician
Job Description:
DUTIES: Provides highly skilled technical and advisory work in the installation, maintenance, modification, construction, demonstration and repair of highly complex diagnostic (MRI, CT, Nuclear Medicine) and therapeutic imaging devices or systems. In conjunction with the radiation physicist, performs quality assurance testing and calibration. Provides a high level of technical support and training to Imaging departments and assists in the development of processes/procedures relative to clinical use of technologies.
REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform this job are typically acquired through a minimum of 5-10 years of progressively responsible experience with biomedical imaging, which includes digital imaging technology, and networking technology. Linear Accelerator experience requried. Associates Degree in Biomedical Electronics (or similar Electronics Degree) or Military/Technical Certificate in Biomedical Electronics with at least five years experience working in a healthcare environment. Certification by the ICC (International Certification Commission for Clinical Engineering and Biomedical Technology), CMET (Certification for Biomedical Equipment Technicians),CRES (Certification for Radiology Equipment Specialists), and/or CLES (Certification for Clinical Laboratory Specialists) is preferred. Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office or similar products (primarily Word, Outlook, and Excel). Demonstrated proficiency and knowledge of networking technology.
