We are searching for a Senior Billing Representative with a solid background in Billing/AR and Commissions to join our Columbia, MD team. In this growth-oriented role, you would have exposure to a wide range of opportunities in Billing, Accounts Receivable and Commissions while gaining valuable insight into the rapidly expanding healthcare industry. Primary Responsibilities Maintain, update and design complex commission calculation models in MS Excel to administer commission calculations on ancillary healthcare benefit products (Dental, Vision, Life, Disability, and Stoploss). Prepare monthly commission calculations for internal sales representatives. Research and resolve commission issues (both simple and complex). Interact with sales reps and senior management regarding commission issues and commission calculation model. Identify and resolve billing and payment issues through use of strong analytical and problem solving skills. Recommend, design and document policies, procedures and methods to ensure accurate and efficient cash posting, billing and commission payments (both internal sales and external brokers). Interact with external and internal clients to resolve billing/payment discrepancies and outstanding receivables. Qualifications: Undergraduate degree preferred High level of proficiency with intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills is required Minimum3 year experience in Commissions, Billing, Accounts Receivable (A/R), Finance/Accounting or related field required Experience as a commissions analyst responsible for the design and implementation of complex commission calculation models is preferred Experience working in Payroll preferred Healthcare product experience preferred Accounting/Finance background Microsoft Access skills preferred Strong analytical and problem solving skills required Excellent written and verbal communication skills requiredUnitedHealth Group offers a full range of comprehensive benefits to full-time and part-time employees, including medical, dental and vision, as well as a matching 401k and an employee stock purchase plan.
