Senior Accountant I - ( Tacoma, WA )   The purpose of this position is to provide center level accounting support. This includes accounting for development projects, fixed assets, inventory, medical director fees, leases, subleases, revenue analysis, and preparing financial reports for field operations management and joint venture partners to ensure department goals and objectives are achieved, in alignment with DaVita's Mission and Core Values.    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Center accounting responsibilities for development projects, fixed assets, inventory,  medical director fees, leases and subleases. General Ledger functions such as journal entry preparation, account analysis and account reconciliation. Financial reporting and partnership responsibilities. Responsible for training and reviewing the work of other Accountants, General Ledger, as assigned. Other duties as assigned.         Fifth year college or university program certificate Two to four years related experience and/or training Equivalent combination of education and experience.   Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.  Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.  Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to Prescribed style and format.   Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors. Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms,  quadratic quations, and permutations.  Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency  distribution,  determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid  conclusions.
