Learn more at www.multicarejobs.org Position Summary: The Security Officer is responsible for the security of the MultiCare complex and the safety of its patients, staff, employees, and visitors within its boundaries. He/she is responsible for filing reports, conducting investigations, and assuring that all hospital safety and security policies are met. This position works under limited supervision. Work situations are a variety of routine and non-routine situations and functions requiring a service oriented individual, discretion, good judgment, and physical prowess. Minimum Requirements: One to three years experience in police, military police, or security, preferable in a health care setting. Education/Licenses/Certifications: Successful completion of Hospital Security Officer Basic Training program and receipt of certification through the International Association for Hospital Security and Safety Foundation within the first 90 days of employment required.
