Due to outstanding growth and continued success, Hoveround is looking for and individual to join our team of professionals as a Scripts Processor in Sarasota, FL.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Reviews medical forms indicating medical necessity for Durable Medical Equipment and makes necessary follow up calls to physicians’ offices for appropriate documentation and completion of patient script.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1.  Contacts physician’s office by telephone to verify patient information and follow up on required paperwork according to Medicare guidelines.

2.  Prepares Certificate of Medical Necessity (CMN) packet and Company brochure for distribution to appropriate physician’s office.

3.  Follows up according to established procedures to confirm receipt of package and/or faxes and develops relationship with physician’s staff for return of requested forms.

4.  Handles facsimiles to request information and/or reconsider patient’s qualifications for product.

5.  Analyzes responses received and determines for completion needs.

6.  Assumes other special activities and responsibilities as required.

7.  Works one (1) late shift per week as a completer.

8.  Works a 40 hour work week.

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  Education/Experience/Technical Requirements

1.  RN, LPN, PCT or CNA

2.  Knowledge of ICD-9 coding.

3.  Extensive knowledge of medical terminology.

4.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

5.  1-2 years prior experience in medical field.

6.  Working knowledge of Windows environment with emphasis on data entry.

7.  Working knowledge of Contact Manager preferred.
