School Based Therapist

Liberty Resources, a trusted and diverse human services agency in Central New York, is currently seeking a Therapist for the school based program within the Brownell Center for Behavioral Healthcare in Syracuse.  This position will work with children and families in local schools who require mental health services beyond the scope of what can be offered at the school.  The therapist will provide therapeutic counseling services and linkage to Brownell's child psychiatrists.  The Therapist will make services available within the schools, but also participate in regular home visits with the families.

An appropriate candidate for this position will have the ability to work autonomously in the community, be self-motivated and energetic.  The position requires a Masters in Social Work or related clinical degree and one (1) year post-graduate experience.  Prior related experience may be substituted for one (1) year post-graduate requirement.  Must be flexible, oriented to family work.  Must have a valid New York driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
