Scheduling and Insurance Verifier
Abbott & Associates Professional Placement is in search of a reliable individual who will be responsible for verifying patient eligibility and securing referral/authorization prior to the outpatient appointment or inpatient admission. This person will maintain current information on all managed care insurance plans and is up-to-date with all managed care insurance plan changes. Additional duties include scheduling new patient appointments on line, and manually if neccessary. Obtaining authorizations for Cath Lab and Echo/EKG lab procedures.
Minimum Requirements:1 year of patient account services experience 6 months to 1 year ICD 9 coding experienceExcellent verbal communication skillsEpic software experience is a plus
HIPPA CertifiedDetail orientedFriendly, can do attitude
