Sales Representative ACL
Job Description ACL Laboratories is a joint venture between the Advocate health system in Chicago and the Aurora health system in Milwaukee. All combined it serves 22 hospitals and over 80 ambulatory clinics as well as a very large independent client base. In addition, ACL currently has one large central lab in Milwaukee and opened a second one in Rosemont, Illinois in late 2004. ACL offers a wide variety of lab settings for employment as well as geographical locations from very large metropolitan cities to rural settings. In addition, ACL performs tests in a wide variety of disciplines including industrial toxicology (heavy metals), forensic toxicology (drug testing), cytogenetics, molecular, and immunology as well as all the more routine disciplines. Calling on current accounts
Providing frequent follow-up with new clients during initial phase in period.
Attracting new business through cold calls, referrals, inquiries, incoming calls and trade shows.
Following up with interest generated within their specified geographic or market-based territories.
Responding to client needs in regards to additional services and new tests available.
Setting up new accounts and notifying internal customers of any unusual services needed. This includes servicing of account personnel, installation of teleprinter, customizing of requisitions, arranging for supplies/materials, coordination of billing information transfers, computer system adjustments, special panels, etc.
This is a full time, 1st shift position based at West Allis Memorial Hospital. Hours are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Weekends worked as needed. No holidays required. This position serves our Southeast Wisconsin territoty from south Milwaukee to the Illinois Border.
General Qualifications
Knowledge of marketing, communications, and business equivalent to that, which would be acquired by completing a regionally accredited Bachelor's degree program.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform this job are typically acquired through 2-5 years of progressively responsible experience in sales. Related experience within a healthcare environment preferred.
Must be proficient in the Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) or similar products.
Ability to drive and/or travel regularly to client sites and work-related functions/meetings.
