SYSTEMS ANALYST
Information Services
The Systems Analyst provides analytical support for one or more of the application software systems used by the medical center. Responsibilities include: research to support selection of software packages; project management of software implementation activities; application maintenance activities including – database maintenance, application of software fixes, identification and implementation of required upgrades, procedural consulting and development; and application support including user-training and problem resolution. Must also keep abreast of legislation and regulatory changes.
Three to four years of experience and Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; 5-8 years experience preferred. Must also have: experience managing a decision support system such as McKesson.; knowledge of healthcare finance operations and procedures; the ability to translate defined clinical & financial indicators into appropriate reports / scorecards within the decision support application; and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a team. Other requirements include: strong analytical, interpersonal skills and project management skills; excellent written and oral communication, teaching and coaching skills; and a general knowledge of personal computer technology with proficiency in spreadsheet applications and database management. A Driver’s license is also required.
