SQL Database Analyst
I have an exciting opportunity for someone who LOVES manipulating data!! The Database Analyst is responsible for the development of analytics content derived from claims, chargemaster and other healthcare data sources to be included in Accuro products. You will be responsible for the data loading, manipulation and reporting of analytics content. You will work closely with IT staff, members of the development team and product managers to develop analytics for inclusion in our products. Candidates should have strong people, verbal and written communication skills. The Database Analyst will also serve as a secondary resource for database administration duties required to support production and development SQL environments. Responsibilities: Manage and control all daily operational activities related to database management and administration. Manage application and database objects, including tables, clusters, indexes, views, sequences, and procedures in a SQL 2000 / 2005 environment. Establish backup/recovery of databases. Act as primary contact with development and customer service for resolving problems. Monitor and report Database capacity and performance metrics. Assist in the evaluation of software addition and/or upgrade as required to maintain performance standards and databases. Documents Database Setup and administration of Server Environment. Provides project, production and on-call support during off hours. Drive continuous improvement while insuring that all application systems and procedures are planned, built, maintained, executed, etc. in accordance with company standards. Be a backup database administration resource for production and development database activities. Qualifications: 3-5 years of experience. Strong Windows desktop and OS experience. Skilled in SQL statement tuning and database performance tuning is desirable. Experience with SQL scripting, stored procedures, data extracting and loading and DTS/SSIS Willingness to work on-call in a 7x24 environment, and expected to handle a mix of database management and engineering responsibilities. Capable of supporting and implementing technology projects in support of business initiatives. Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to perform professional level technical documentation and presentation.
