SIGN LANAGUAGE SERVICES MGR

Manages the day-to-day operations of services for deaf/HOH patients, families, or their companions, promoting highest level of professionalism and customer service.Oversees all aspects of ADA compliance at all facilities.Continuously improve quality of and access to services for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.

Job Requirements:


Minimum of 3 years of ASL interpreting. Experience as an ASL interpreter in a healthcare setting. Experienced in customer service settings. Familiar with hospital setting/operations.

 

Native or near-native American Sign Language skills; extensive experience with the Deaf community; sensitivity to issues facing the Deaf community, including deaf/hearing relationships; and a demonstrated ability to work well with others. Highly knowledgeable of ADA requirements. Excellent voicing skills and a good understanding of deaf culture. Experience with video interpreting required. Professionalism, flexibility, extreme adherence to ethical and confidentiality standards required.

Bachelor's Degree in health related and/or human service field (i.e. Health Education, Social Work, Rehab Counseling etc.)
