SENIOR INTERNAL AUDITOR

Our internal audit department is comprised of 8 professionals, who provide quantifiable, value-added assurance and consulting services.  The department's vision is to provide a fully developed, state-of-the-art, Internal Audit function that proactively delivers value-added results to Management and Governance by providing an independent appraisal of the organization’s risks and controls.  This well established internal audit department was awarded The Institute of Internal Auditor’s Recognition of Commitment Award (2005), received the top-ranking during the IIA’s Quality Assurance Review (2006), and achieved record performance in value added results (2007).

 

The Senior Internal Auditor will be primarily responsible for planning, coordinating and executing operational, financial and compliance reviews of Methodist entities.  Some local travel is required.  The Senior Internal Auditor reports to the Director, Internal Audit.  The incumbent works under the general supervision of an Audit Manager and follows departmental policies and procedures as well as limited instructions in carrying out daily tasks. 

 

The successful candidate should have a minimum of 5 years prior relevant internal audit experience, with 2-3 years Healthcare experience preferred.  The candidate should also have excellent communication skills (oral and written) and data-analysis skills.  Relevant certification CPA, CIA, or CISA desired, CIA preferred.  We offer a competitive salary and benefits package.
