Respiratory Therapy Coordinator
This position would be responsible for ensuring proper respiratory care and positive patient outcomes in the medical center setting.
Key Functions: Ensures compliance with WI DRL regulations Development of appropriate policies and procedures Coordinates staff scheduling and call schedule. Administers therapy in accordance with the prescription of an MD and follows state recommendations/Medicare regulations and standards of care. Performs duties of staff Respiratory Therapist. Assists physicians upon request in assessing individual patients and designing appropriate therapy regimens. Implements orders and documents thoroughly on patient charts. Monitors, evaluates, and makes necessary changes to ensure that all therapy is completed in a timely and effective manner. Participates and develops departmental CQI. Makes decisions for the day to day operations of the department, keeping the department apprised of all operations.
Qualifications: Education: RRT, CRT, or equivalent and CPR certified with a Wisconsin license. Experience: Prefer at least one year of supervisory experience and 3 years of experience as a staff RT.
Other Skills Required: Demonstrates excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to work independently and with little supervision Willingness to learn and adapt to changing environment Demonstrates keyboarding skill and computer knowledge Demonstrates high level of enthusiasm
