Respiratory Therapist/LPN

At ION Healthcare, you will be responsible for providing quality patient care in an office or hospital setting. Occasional on – call and off-site visits may be necessary, but are not a large part of the experience we offer.  You should be available to work varied shifts between the hours of 7a and 8p.

SUMMARY: Administers respiratory therapy care to patients with diagnosed sleep apnea under supervision of Physician and by prescription, by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following; other duties
may be assigned:Implements Ion Healthcare's Mission Statement. Sets up and operates devices such as home sleep test, pulse oximeter, PAP units.  Occasional oxygen set-up may be required. 
Operates equipment to ensure specified parameters of treatment such as volume,
gas concentration, humidity, and temperature.

·  Observes equipment function and adjusts equipment to obtain optimum results to
therapy. Consults with Physician in event of adverse reactions. Maintains patient's chart that contains pertinent identification and therapy
information. Inspects and tests respiratory therapy equipment to ensure equipment is
functioning safely and efficiently. Orders repairs when needed. Demonstrates respiratory care procedures to trainees and other health care
personnel. May have to communicate or interact with, assess, or treat Ion Healthcare
customers that may be:
o Adults (18 - 64 years of age)
o Seniors (65 years or greater) Participates in Performance Improvement (PI) activities.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); graduation from an accredited Respiratory Program. Current state licensure is required.  Current state nursing licensure is required for the LPN position.


COMPUTER SKILLS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word
Processing and system software.

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES:
Active State Respiratory Care Practitioner License.
