Resident Care Director/RN Manager

Assisted Living Community in the Philadelphia area is seeking a dedicated and motivated health care professional with knowledge of the Pennsylvania Personal Care regulations and the ability to effectively manage diverse staff. As a member of the leadership team, the Resident Care Director participates in the development of implementation of policies and procedures to enhance services and to continuously provide quality care.

The right candidate possesses a current RN/LPN license and a minimum of two years of management-level experience in the field of gerontology or similar environment.

 

· Develop and implement resident care program that promotes the physical, psychological and social well-being of all residents under his or her care.

· Evaluate residents to determine levels of care and develop appropriate care plan.

· Manage resident admission and discharge process in accordance with with established policies and procedures.

· Responsible for recordkeeping and proper maintenance of resident charts.

· Demonstrate exemplary leadership through integrity, compassion, professional business practices and positive channels of communication.

· Monitor personnel changes at department level, approve time off request, orient and train new team members.

· Monitor departmental spending and work within approved budgetary guidelines.

 Qualifications:

· Current LPN or RN license

· Two year management experience in Assisted Living or similar environment

· Knowledge of laws and regulations governing personal care homes

· Excellent people skills

· Some weekends required
