ABI Research Project Coordinator

 

Shepherd Center is the largest Catastrophic Care Hospital in the United States. We seek a Project Coordinator for our Acquired Brain Injury Research team. The ABI RPC reports to the Director of ABI Research and supports all potential aspects of grant funded and in-house research studies.  Data management is a critical responsibility of the position including – collecting, retrieving, compiling, and formatting clinical, demographic, and outcome information into usable research data files.  Other primary clinical research duties include but are not limited to recruiting participants and obtaining informed consent; completing Research Review Committee (RRC) applications and annual reports; assisting with the submission of grant applications; organizing and/or leading focus groups; conducting literature reviews; data quality control of other projects; coordinating educational events and meetings; creating power point presentations; and data entry.  The ability to conduct data analyses using statistical software programs would be a major plus but is not required.  MA/MS or BA/BS Degree; MPH is desirable.  Prior experience in health care research preferred.  Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Must have strong interpersonal skills and be diplomatic and objective in dealing with the public and the hospital staff.  Background in database management is essential; statistical analysis experience is preferred.
