Reporting Analyst / 785 Position Description:Responsibilities: • Performs complex analysis and reporting of health care data; • Performs comparative analysis and profiling of health care providers and consumers; • Provides standard and ad hoc reports on utilization, access, quality of care, and health care costs; • Assists in ensuring the quality of work products through managing peer review quality check processes; • Measures contract compliance by designing, maintaining and managing systems to collect internal data and produce reports for other management staff. These reports include details on work loads, projects assigned and completed and the amount of time spent on consulting projects. Researches, analyzes and determines the needs of the client; develops project objectives in agreement with the client; formulates options and a recommendation for the client; writes reports to support the recommendation; prepares and delivers a presentation to the client; • Initiates, determines and prioritizes consulting projects; organizes the projects' workflow; recommends any necessary changes; and • Other duties as assigned. Education requirements: High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, with graduate-level education preferred.Requirements: • A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in healthcare, risk management, insurance, statistics or related areas of expertise is required; • Experience with developing databases, analyzing data using standard software packages and preparing analytical reports is required; • Effective verbal and written communication skills is required; • An ability to work well with customers and co-workers is essential; • Experience with MS Office Suite and SQL required; •Experience in the analysis and development of EDI files preferred;•Knowledge of Business Intelligence Processes and Data Modeling; and •Experience with SAS preferred.
