Manager (Manager/Supervisor of Staff) Education: Associate Degree Category: Project/Program Management Revelant Work Experience: 2+ to 5 Years Company: PHNS Email: Apply by Email Remote E-Health Solutions Consultant Position Summary:Works with clients and operations staff to articulate, plan for, implement, upgrade and troubleshoot E-Health system requirements and issues. Provides EMR forms management, project management, process re-engineering, workflow management, training and support expertise for hospitals, practice management and non-traditional health care settings. Duties and Responsibilities:Essential Functionsq Ability to work with operations staff to articulate business requirements related to E-Health projects. q Serve as E-Health consultant to customer organizations. q Identify opportunities to improve business processes resulting in improved efficiencies and/or quality. q Act as a liaison between operations and information services staff to ensure systems meet the functional specifications by operations. q Acts as a liaison between customer and vendor in system functional specifications. q Leads E-Health business transformation activities for customer sites.q Work with IT staff to develop reporting tools and information to improve processes and measure performance. q Maintains current knowledge of applicable federal and state EMR related laws and accreditation standards; monitors and communicates changes to ensure customer adaptation and compliance. q Employs “Best Practice Model” for E-Health implementations. q Maintains knowledge of E-Health products implemented at customer sites and mentors team members on product functionality, updates, service packs, etc. q Develop test scripts for all system implementations, changes and upgrades. q Participate in system functional and integrated testing. q Participate in change control process meetings and follow change control protocol for system. q Provide knowledge transition for operational staff to perform daily, weekly and monthly system maintenance and monitoring to ensure the good health of the systems. q Provide ongoing support of EMR system implementation design, build, test and implementation issues to include triage and troubleshooting to provide resolutions for any identified areas of concern.q Oversee user sign on maintenance to include creating new signors, modify existing signons and deleting inactive users (specific to each site).q Develop training and competency materials for E-Health functions to include document preparation, document capture and electronic chart completion. q Provide E-Health end user training if necessary. q Conducts workflow design sessions; develop functional specifications; design, build and test changes to workflow logic in response to requested changes; build and maintain master tables; build SQL fragments and stored procedures for workflow logic builds as well as create SQL queries to obtain information from EMR database.q Create and update policies and procedures relating to EMR functions for operations. Other Duties and Responsibilitiesq Performs other duties as necessary to meet department and company objectives. Education, Experience & Licensure: q Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management or equivalent combination of education and/or experience in the health care field preferred q 3-5 years previous healthcare experience preferredq RHIT or RHIA certification preferredq Previous EMR project implementation/management or document imaging experience preferred Skills & Requirements: q Analytical ability to identify, analyze and evaluate market changes, create solutions to difficult administrative, technical or human situations.q Effective written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills for contact with internal and external customers and peers to obtain and interpret a variety of information based on knowledge of departmental practices, hospital policies and programs and specific technical and regulatory knowledge.q Must possess the ability to learn new things and think innovatively for solutions to business and technical problems related to patient care/record process flow. q Ability to participate on multiple projects simultaneously and remotely. q Project management with superior organization skills.q Travel required for customer system implementations, upgrades, system troubleshooting and conferences.
