Relief Mental Health Counselors

Position Summary: 

Riverside’s Community Living Services are designed to assist adults who have long term mental illness to live successfully in the community, with as much independence from the mental health service system as they desire and can achieve.  Services are individualized in collaboration with each person, to assist them in developing confidence, resources and skills to improve functioning and quality of life.  Focus is ultimately on having safe homes, relationships, jobs, and other markers of a meaningful life.  Services and supports are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

 

Relief staff provide services to supplement regular staff in many of our small group residences and supported housing programs in or near the following communities: Ipswich, Dedham, Medway, Melrose, Milford, Norwood, Newton, Peabody, Reading and Wakefield, MA.  All shifts & weekends.

 

Position Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree and/or related experience, the ability to communicate in the English language, including clear documentation in program records, ability to work independently and to function as a member of a team.  Valid driver's license and dependable transportation required.
