If so read on...Who are we?We specialize in coding, billing, documentation, and training services for ophthalmologist and we are currently in need of a Senior Consultant who has experience auditing medical records.What you will be doing:- Will be responsible for conducting chart audits and preparing audit reports for ophthalmic practices and ambulatory surgery centers. - Other duties include the development of policies and procedures and training curriculum - Training physicians and staff - Lecturing at national society meetings - Writing articles for in-house newsletter and industry periodicalsWhat is required for this position:- 3+ years of ophthalmology coding and auditing experience - Compliance Director experience would be helpful, but not required - Thorough knowledge of ICD-9-CM, CPT, HCPCS, E&M services, and Medicare regulations - Recent experience in ophthalmology, use of medical records terminology, and auditing for Medicare compliance. - Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Professional (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) - Travel required. - AHIMA or AAPC Certification.
