Rehabilitation Counselor

Mission statement: Sky Light Center, a clubhouse on Staten Island established in 1988, is committed to offering quality rehabilitation services and support to individuals recovering from psychiatric disabilities.

General duties: As a direct service staff member of the center's clubhouse model of psychiatric rehabilitation, Rehabilitation Counselors perform an array of duties and as such, have generalist professional roles.  These include but are not limited to working side-by-side with members as part of a defined unit with specific tasks, providing case management services to members, providing job coaching and related vocational services as part of our in-house employment program.

 

Minimum requirements: Bachelor's Degree in a human services field and 1-2 years post-degree related experience preferred.  Full-time positions offer a comprehensive benefits package.  Must have a valid drivers license.

 

Spanish/English a plus. Computer skills a plus.
